Value-conscious riders should check out Scorpion’s EXO-R410 helmet. Sporting a sub-$150 price tag in solids, the R410 is all about bang for the buck.

The shell is stamped from polycarbonate with a dual-density EPS liner inside. This helps keep things affordable yet meets DOT and Snell safety standards. Despite its bargain price point, the interior is on the lavish side.

The six-piece interior features antibacterial and moisture-wicking material and each piece can be removed for cleaning. There’s also ear pockets for Bluetooth headsets. Quick release cheek pads are also standard allowing for safer helmet removal in an accident that involves possible head trauma.

A pair on/off adjustable vents flow air through the top of the helmet and a chin vent works with the anti-fog coated face shield to increase visibility in humid conditions. The visor can be easily swapped for tinted, and/or Pinlock equipped versions. It can also be locked in its downward position for added safety. We also like the clever chin curtain which reduces turbulence inside the helmet.

Available in sizes XS through triple XL the R410 comes in four different solid colors. Graphic versions are available for a modest up-charge.
